"What a delight! For a start, Brough was strictly speaking off our route, but Philip kindly came and picked us up. Then we were shown our room, which was generous and well-appointed, with lots of attention to detail. Next we ate an excellent dinner in style. After a wonderful night's sleep, we had a royal breakfast. Pat and Philip were first-rate hosts, and Swanson House is an outstanding B&B."

"...What at wonderful stay we both had. ...The twin room is fabulous, lovely decor, bedding and cushions. ...Dinner was delicious - all three courses and topped off by coffee and some of Pat's homemade truffles and fudge!..."

"...I discovered Swanson House restaurant when looking for something a bit special for my wife's birthday. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and flexible about what dishes they would prepare for us. We had a fantastic meal, each course as delicious as the last, and were delighted by the extra touches such as a range of tasty home-made breads & petit fours to complete the meal. A visit to this restaurant is a must if you are in the area, and it is fantastic value to boot."
